Back in early September, USA sent a selection of our territory managers to join both clients and acquaintances for a 3 day training series with ECP in Olathe, Kansas. There they were treated to in-depth trainings and field demonstrations covering all things helical. This included a factory tour, trainings on helical anchor applications, torque fundamentals, and a hands-on installation.

This September, USA and ECP are joining forces to host a 3-day, all expenses paid training series. Entitled Helical 101, this training series features in-depth classroom trainings, field demonstrations, and box seat tickets for the Kansas City Royals baseball game. Transportation to and from all locations and all meals will be provided by ECP.

This week, USA took another big step in growing our team and bolstering the strength of our service; Dustin Richardson worked his first day as Utility Service Agency’s newest territory manager on Monday, June 1st. He will be responsible for managing projects related to Duke Energy distribution. You can read more about Dustin and his areas of responsibility below in his official welcome letter from USA’s president Jim Cooke.

This past Thursday, May 28th, the Tarheel Electric Membership Association hosted their annual tradeshow out of their warehouse in Raleigh, NC. As part of a professional development initiative, in addition to our outside sales team who regularly attend the show, USA sent our entire inside sales team to partake in the day’s activities as well. Our team was delighted to see many faces new and old, and the event was a great opportunity for everyone to learn and grow together. In the past two weeks, USA was fortunate enough to welcome two new hires: Product Line Managers Eric Brown and Kim Davis.

A yearly tradition for the folks at USA is attending Duke Energy Carolinas Transmission Line Safety Day, a multi-faceted event that has linemen and other Duke personnel moving from station to station, testing their skills and learning new ones throughout the day.

We are pleased to announce that Shane Ashby joined the Utility Service Agency on Monday, April 13th as a Territory Manager for the Western North Carolina Region.

This past weekend, our Florida territory managers and our marketing manager were delighted to attend the 25th annual Florida Lineman Competition. Here’s a handful of our best photos from the event.

USA will be attending the 25th annual Florida Lineman Competition from March 13-14. From 6pm-8pm on Friday 3/13, we'll be at tables 45, 46, and 47 of the Vendor Expo, representing several of our manufacturers. On Saturday 3/14, we'll be joined by our manufacturers in observing the competition from 7:30am to 2pm.
