Career:

Kat started his career in the utility industry in 2011 with Progress Energy, which ultimately was renamed to Duke Energy. The entirety of Kat’s career has been spent with Duke Energy. Kat’s expertise ranges from Distribution to Transmission/Substation Construction.

Kat comes to USA with his most recent role at Duke Energy as a Distribution/Transmission Technical Skills Specialist (TSS), providing expertise in the field of hands on compliance training and human performance.

Personal Remarks:

In his free time, Kat enjoys hunting ducks and fishing. He is happily married to his wife Ashlee Hicks, and is father to two children; daughter Hadlyn, age 3, and son Keelan, age 1.
