  • CEO/President, covers the entire Duke Energy territory and much of AEP’s southern area, especially in WV, VA, NC, FL, OH & IN.

Education:

  • Carnegie Mellon University, Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering

  • University of West Florida, Master of Arts in Business Administration

Industry Experience:

  • Jim is a Mechanical Engineer with over 2 decades of utility field experience in NC, VA, WV, FL, OH & IN. Jim handles Duke Energy transmission and substation business concerns for all territories, as well as Raleigh EPCs and Central NC public power.

Military Service:

  • 1993—2002: U.S. Navy – Helicopter Pilot

  • Specializing in Combat Search and Rescue and Anti Submarine Warfare. Over 2000 hours divided between SH-60F, HH-60H and UH-3 Sea King helicopters. Served in Operation Southern Watch.

  • Retired from the Navy Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander in 2013.
