Career:
Chris joined Utility Service Agency after a very successful 5-year tenure with the sales force at SFS Tool and Safety (formerly known as Special Fleet Service), having specialized in servicing companies in the Mid-Atlantic Region, with a focus on contractors and public power. Chris had success while at SFS Tools and Safety in developing relationships with customers and growing his accounts in a positive, long-term directio; an effect that is still carrying through with his time at Utility Service Agency.
Prior to his role in sales, Chris spent 23 years in law enforcement, where he finished his career as Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division with the Harrisonburg Police Departments. During his time in law enforcement, Chris spent a majority of his career in violent crime, narcotics, and gang investigations, both as an officer and managing staff of units.
Chris was fortunate enough to be nominated and selected to attend the FBI National Academy, which less than 1% of law enforcement officers in the United State are chosen to attend. Over Chris’s 23 years of law enforcement, he has received numerous commendations from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), US Marshals Service, Virginia Attorney General’s Office, and the United States Postal Service. Chris retired in 2016 from the Harrisonburg Police Department as a Division Commander/Lieutenant of the Criminal Investigations/Major Crimes Unit.
Personal Remarks:
In addition to having served on multiple federal and state task forces, Chris is certified as an expert in federal and state courts, and was a certified state instructor for law enforcement officers and prosecuting attorneys in training in Virginia. He retired in 2016 as Division Commander, Lieutenant of Criminal Investigations/Major Crimes.
Over the past several years, we have worked closely with Chris in the Virginia territory and are proud to call him a member of our team.
